In doing so, we hope to educate our citizens as to the role, work and duties of the members of the Milwaukee Police Department. It is our commitment to promote through education, your understanding of police operations. It is not our intention to train you to be a sworn law enforcement officer. I understand that I may witness or be involved in the use of deadly force, shootings, motor vehicle accidents and chases, the use of tear gas or other dangerous items, and other events not listed in this release which may cause physical or emotional injury. I understand that the City is not guaranteeing my safety.I accept full responsibility for any injury or property damage I may sustain due to my participation in this program.
